if on the budget for good, new (speed/capasity) card, better grab 770 - speed of 680, 4gb of vram, kepler architecture with improved cooling. otherwise, if You have more to spend most logical option is Titan. personally I wouldn't even look to 760 ..if You want to get as low as possible, probably used 580/670 makes more sense..- that'smy personal thoughts, others might have diff points of view =)

From what I've read the GTX 760 has only 6 SMX units (less CUDA cores for Compute) than either the 660Ti or the GTX 670 which both have 7 SMX units. All three parts are GK104 based as opposed to the GK110 based GTX 780 and Titan.
As glimpse mentioned, your best bet would be either the GTX 770 4GB, GTX 780 3GB or the Titan with 6GB of VRAM. The reason I suggested the GTX 780 is that depending on your country the 4GB variant may be hard to find or the price of the 4GB version of the GTX 770 may be very close to the GTX 780.

But the 770 is almost twice the price of a 4GB 760 and is only about 20% faster for rendering according to benchmarks.

It's also as powerful as a 670 which also costs more than a 760. The 780 costs about 50% more than a 770! In terms of price/power ratio the 760 appears pretty good for many of us on a lower budget. I expect real world comparisons will follow when the 760 4GB is widely available. But I wouldn't write it off just yet.

760 vs 670 gaming:

760 just a few points below 670 gaming scores:

If 2 x 760 4GB cost about the same as 1 x 770 4GB would they give faster rendering than just one 770? I'd love to see some Octane tests.
