SUB D PP 2014 not transfering to Octane

I dont know if it has been asked before, but When I use the Sub D feature in Poser pro 2014 on clothes and character, it does not render in octane. the character or object remains low poly as it is originally. So lets say i use a Body suit for V4, the bend at the elbow is all blocky, then I subdevide the bodysuit and it displays well in poser. but when i open Octane it appears non sub devided.

I hope this makes sense.

I'm not the one who knows about this technical stuff, nor can I describe it with these technical terms correctly, but iirc, Paul once mentioned, that the sub D vertices info aren't transferred to the PoserPython yet and thus, the Octane plug-in cannot "read" and/or "process" them.
The latest SR for P10/PP2014 didn't include a fix/update for this issue.

I expect access to subd meshes to be available in an SR for Poser at some point. Hopefully won't be too far away....

Darn, I ran into the same issue last night. I started to model specifically for PP2014 subdiv, but I cannot render it with Octane. As a matter of fact, PP2014 itself will not export subdivided models to OBJ. I was hoping I could export to a higher res and reimport to render, but subdivs are NOT exported out of Poser. >____<

I am tied up.

It renders fine - just change the skinning method. See answer 26 of the FAQ. http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Poser/?page_id=182.

Not yet. Hopefully with a new service release we can export to OBJ including Pixars subD.
