Ooh the sphere looks nice. But why is there some blurring like dof in the render?

Because you have DOF in the scene. The DOF is also rendered in the reflections/refractions, like in the real life ;)

Do you mean octane automatically adds dof?
I checked the lw camera settings and octane editor I don't see any dof activated.

DOF is controled using the Octane camera node. You can disable the DOF effect if you set the aperture parameter to 0

Got it thanks. I think this should be off or 0 by default. There was no camera node in there so I'm guessing this is on by default with the basic lw octane settings like the lighting which is white direct lighting by default.
I rarely use in camera dof so that was some wierd behavior from the renderer.

Ok, finally trying to create some materials, first one "edge wear material" combination off texture scratch image with dirt for the edge and some LW procedurals to break up the material surface...
Hope you like it, the shader ball is inspired by "acc24ex" (some more procedural metals - got a good rust there) i hope he dos not mined but i really liked hes preview...

Geetzz,

Great Materials guys, thanks for sharing.

We really need some nice presets :).

BTW polytek, it seems you uploaded twice same material (Red edges).
