Messed about with it more in the Standalone. Its difficult to fathom what setting is effecting what in the Plugin. I think this looks better.

i think it s important to make a render image without grains to finish well the shader cause, the brushed metal change drastically if some artefacts appear yet

but, for me, looks really nice

yes exactly,
it is important to see the scrached effect, because the grain of the picture can change completemeent the final result
but I am sure your texture is already very efficient

i think the shader global idea is here.
you can involve it, trying to maque the scracthes thinners and more like a linear way (not like multiples dots)
maybe try to see if you can introduce more bump or normal map effects

but i know when it s thin, it s harder

The problem is that it would be better as a normal map, but I'm trying to make it as a shader using procedurals. Therefore (unless there's something I don't know) I can't use it in the normal map channel.

Can we request the mods to make this a sticky?

Trying to make a simple material preset scene and used the gold surface. There's some wierd artifacts on the sphere and some blurring going on. Maybe someone more experienced with octane can improve this. Then we can share materials for lightwave. I attached the scene if Juanjo wants to distribute it.

Here your scene works fine with LW11.6 and the last 2.2.0 plugin build ... can you please test it again?
