Hi,

I'm trying to avoid Noise on this picture, taken from an animation I'm working on.

My Settings :

Directlighting
Max samples : 16000
GI_mode : GI_DIFFUSE
Hot Pixel : 1

Have you got any clue?

Set "hotpixel_removal" to 0 (which is ON).
Use a single polygon emitter.
Increase the total scene lighting and then reduce the exposure.

Hello,

once again I'm facing noise while using blackbody emitter. In this case, I'm using sweep nurbs as emitter...

I really can't find how to avoid the noise on the floor... any clue?

in my experience dl-diffuse is not so faster than pt when using same amout of diffuse depth. so you can use pt then have gi clamp feature that you can set it to around 1 for less noise. keep in mind your scene will be darker with same intensity.

I'd also try to increase the emitter samples to a higher number...like really high. 10k, 100k, etc.

best,
