Turning Fire Flys to Something Usefull

Hello Octane users and Artists!
This post http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... 941#p30941 inspired me to start this topic.
I want to build on that idea, it's either we find a way to completely eliminate fireflys using a plugin or a series of steps or techniques, or we find a way to make use of them somehow.
Of course we can wait until the render cleans, but as you all know this takes a lot of time, if ever 100% worked.
Photoshop and After Effects are the two main applications we use for stills and animations, so plugins and techniques for both are very welcomed.
What do you guys think
