I am getting ready to do some interior renderings with lights. Is there a recommended conversion from my REVIT lights to work well in Octane?

I use revit for modeling and octane for render in max. My workflow with lights is modeling light sources in revit with a different material.in max I put an ies map to this source. if you use real ies like erco's,siteco's which you can get free from their sites, you can get realistic results with this method.

This method sounds very good! Thank you for sharing. The ERCO site is very user friendly to find this information. On this page on their web site:

http://www.erco.com/products/download/i ... ltut-1.php

I found these options: (see screen shot)

Do you select and download: 3ds data, ies data, or 3d Studio Max (I-drop)?

Thanks for the help! I think you may have saved me a lot of hours. I will post my results.

you're welcome..

I downloaded all data from erco. if you download 3d models you'll see they are very useful because they linked with assembly and you can change target in some models. if you use this 3d models from site you can turn off original photometric lights and put ies map to sub material of model.
