I would like to know if octane supports animated textures (imagesequences) that i import in blender?
Would be good for televesions that lightens the room, or fire ...
Regards,

Hi Dafassi,
I have just double checked this and yes, with the free blender exporter, image sequences work (since the octane standalone is actually given the different images to work with for each frame).
You should be able to get this going fine with the demo and the free export script found here:

Thanks
Chris.

Hi! You are right, rendering animation is working ... seems i made something wrong the last time a tryed this.
But, im not able to set up materials inside of octane and then render the animation?

Hi Dafassi,
Yes, since you can't save the scene with the demo you will not be able to save the material settings.
With the licensed edition you can modify the materials, save the scene, make sure the exporter script is set to no overwrite the scene file and render the animation.
The saved scene will be loaded for each frame with updated geometry/textures and camera position.
Thanks
Chris.
