Feature request - fabric proc texture like this

I try with "checks", but result not authentic.

A normal map and a bump map work well with enough I find. I suppose you can also give it an alpha as well to give it translucency but I never went that far with clothing yet.

I think he wants a procedural texture like the noise filters that are available, not how to achieve a fabric material.
+1 to that

I would love this as well!

Yes, I mean procedural texture.

Ah okay, my mistake then. Yes a procedural texture for clothing would be really nice. It's rather annoying to make your own cloth texture (just a little). I would like to see a floor version as well. It's very hard to find wooden floor textures that are nice and I would prefer to have floors that didn't repeat. i.e. each floor panel different.

I can see that being to hard/time consuming to implement though (the floor).

I would say more procedural textures:
smoother noise, not the Octane one
brick tile generator to create tiles or straight lines
flakes generator for car paint mats
wave generator
dent, perlin generator

all these procedurals are already native in Max and Vray-rt gpu

Integrated engine like DarkTree would be awesome.

While I agree we need more procedural textures, I'm with gabrielefx.

We need a decent one for generating noise. fractal, hybrid mutltifractal, bump, brust, dots, flakes, etc are all ones I use regularly in normal LW pipeline for breaking up textures, or doing very small surface deformities.

I agree, even basic noise is very hard to do right now. Things like bricks would be cool, but before that, just random noise would be much much appreciated.
