Hmmm... They (Modo) really have a great application...
but I think Octane really turn heads and They need hold the table and react
Seeing the comparison made with Octane beta Pathtracing,
I cross the fingers for 2.3 version coming.

They must have a special version of octane render: If you look to the two pictures with the star trekfigures they are testing area lights ?
Hey man Octnae has no area lights, so i doubt they used octane pictures. It looks like they have used modo pictures with extra postpro noise!
dirty propaganda tricks

I wonder if that was a truly fair comparison without someone from Refractive software being there with
a machine of their own.
The whole thing comes off as a larger older company Vers the small new upstart, mixed with a touch of condescension .

It's not like you can't try it yourself. The scene with the spheres is easy enough to replicate.
The guy came across as pretty honest to me. Certainly makes you think.
Even doubling the modo render times (because he was on a twelve core) it doesn't seem like it's any slower than Octane. Let alone 10x slower. Maybe radiance can chime in on this.

I just think that this kind of videos have legal ramifications. That is why there's no comment from any octane team.
Not sure how laws in the US are but in other countries you can't make such comparisons and not make the competitions anonymous.
Modo render is good indeed for general purpose. But vray is THE best. Hehe.
