Changes since 1.12
  • Added image sequence support (ifl format only).
  • Fixed crash with movable proxy object operations.
  • Added control to make the bokeh in out of focus areas less smooth.
  • Fixed transparent patches on glossy materials with bump or normal mapping.
  • Fixed subsurface scattering for diffuse materials.
  • Updates applied while the renderer is paused are applied after resuming the renderer.
This version requires video driver 301.42 or higher.

Limitations on old cards
The PMC kernel and the matte material options don't work on old graphics cards (GTX 2xx, compute model < 2.0).

Thanks Karba.

As far as I can see the crashing has gone.
Before I see this post I had just able to recreate the crash error.
And I saved the file so it's recreateable in 1.12..
I'll post my scene in 1.12 topic there so people can test..

Thank you for the brilliant release.

Hi Karba, i have a big scene so i am using trees as XRef Objects, XRef Objects have a option to use a Proxy Object for display in the scene, and a normal bihavior would be to use the mesh in the render. Octane renders the proxy object instead of the real mesh. Is there a way to fix this ?

You can use the mesh in you scene and select display as box in order to help 3dsmax display.

XRef is not supported. I asked for it several versions ago. Would be a great addition in scene management.
