Material updating and cloning

Hey currently playing with the materials editor ..lots of fun :)

could you enable a right click "clone" material to allow fast material copies ths would allow fast editing to make similar but tweaked materials
...oh by the way how do you get a node editors display for a material on the graph editor like the wood material example in the user guide ??

Hey,

Just wait until the 2.3 intermediate is released and you'll be able to do these things with ease.

yeah but i am in rush to get cracking in the office with them :)

i attach sample render why all the fireflys in the image i got max depth at 8..

any way to kill these artifacts ..?

can i save a materials library at the moment or do they all have to be saved as nodes in a generic scene ...?

no, but you will be able to do it with 2.3 next week.

ok dude i shall try to contain my excitement .. :)

(may i take this opportunity to thank you and your team for your continous hard work on your project i can "feel" that Octane has a huge place to fill on the rendering market it brings "feedback" to the user like no other visualisation tool and will be of immense utility all the global graphical artist community) :)


my only bemol at the moment is the inpossibilty to import from max to octane via .obj or maxtoctane exporter the least "camera".
maxtoctane freezes on export with the plugin and the obj file does not give me the camera either ( iknow about the reset view etc..).


(guess this should be a topic on another thread ..) sorry
