Public node SDK planned?

Hi,

are there any plans to release a public SDK to write custom nodes for octane standalone?

For example, I'd love to write a scatter node that by itself randomizes object positions (like the Cinema 4D cloner object basically). Etc, etc. This would be a real chance to leverage the community power as well (think Alembic etc...)

So... can we hope for an SDK?

Michael

hi Michael, there is no plan for any part of our SDK to go public so far. Sorry we won't be able to elaborate more on this, but there are plans to implement more features that eventually provides more and more flexibility in the future releases...

Sad to hear.

Maybe, as a suggestion, some sort of Python integration maybe? That'd be almost as good!

Cheers
