Hi,

Followed the steps to setup cameras, materials, environment etc and tried rendering in IPR.
It doesn't come out anywhere near as crisp and awesome and in fact doesn't produce a reasonable image at all.

It's all blurry.

Could someone please provide the initial settings that need to be in place to be able to render using Octane render in maya?

Hi! Your objects are not in the focus zone of the camera. In your camera tab, you must turn down the aperture size or tweak the focus distance or click auto focus. You can also try my script that controls the focus distance with a locator, search the forum for camerafocus.mel or something like that lol...
