Hi,

Sun and warm weather is delayed here in Belgium, hopefuly it will be back soon. Here is the first of a new series, this one is a tribute to sun ;)

Edit : Some tech info

Rendering in direct mode 3
Mix of sun and hdri renderings
Intensive usage of instances
Render time : about 20 min for each image (sun + hdri) in 1920x1200

Great render Enricocerica, as usual..

I was wondering how you setup your Octane camera properties?
How do you tend to use your exposure fstop and gamma expecially for outdoor scenes? (with or without ready color response curves?)

Hope you'll have your sun sooner.. :)

This is awesome. I too often wonder how you achieve these great camera angles

Great rendering! I share the interest in rendering details expressed by others, and I am also curious of your source of great vegetation? Is it Forest Pack Pro? Thanks for sharing this inspiring image!

woow!, great attention for every detail (some sort of mixing light sun+hdri or just sun light?).
Another amazing job Enrico, complimenti!! :)

Thanks everyone,

Duno if this is due to my post but today was a fully sunny day ;)

Just added two new images

oguzbir : I usualy set FOV between 60 and 80, in this case I used 64. I never use FSTOP (left at default 2.8) and Gamma is usually set to 1.0 and sometimes to 0.9 but indeed I use the dscs315_1 or 2 response curve. I also tend to play with the vertical lensShift.

BKEicholtz : All the vegetation is home made and generated with a script I developed in Python for Blender 2.49.

paoloverona : Right it's indeed a mix of sun+hdri renderings, as often ;)

how are you able to render HDRI together with Dalight?
