Some issues about light.

Hi,
As I am no super understanding at light tracing/path tracing or ray tracing.
I have made up a benchmark like scene to understand better to see how the light reacts.

I know that on 2.3 intermediate release these questions will be obselete..
All I want to know is answers or explanations to there simple questions.

I just wanto know how it works and why. You can be brief and short, in order to make you work harder on the 2.3.

i thing the images tells everything. image file names tells about the tweaks that i have made.
question

Does the pathtracing, does not trace through the glass and light up what is behind the glass?
There are 1 to 4 increasing number of glass panels that are 0.5cm thick

Hi,

Direct sunlight currently does not pass through glass or alpha mapped geometry.
Only indirect light (eg environment light).

This will be fixed in the final 2.3 release. (not the intermediate coming soon)

those are basically caustics so they won't render very efficient with 2.2.
