How do i adjust image texture?

Hello!

I'm just wondering how do i adjust textire's position in Octane Demo?
I import OBJ scene, then i change defuse channel to IMAGE type and select my PNG (with no alpha) - nothing happens. I say "ok" and start to play with the Texture Scale parameter - no luck.
Then i add a material and do the same things with it. This time I can see my logo image on the Octane-material-ball. I scale it and it changes the size of my image, but it's tiled. I say "ok, let it be tiled" and connect my material to an object in my scene. Nothing happens. I tried to connect it to different meshes of the scene. No luck.

P.S. The scene imports and renders with different material settings just fine. I just can't render an image (non-tiled) on my objects.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Alexander

Hi,

You need to apply UV maps to your model in your 3d application and export them if you want to use image textures.
You should unwrap your model onto the texture in question, and enable export of UVs in your OBJ export options.

Hi, welcome in the forum, first all objects has to uv maped in your 3d software to get texture coordinates.
Have a look to the video tutorials for adjust materials to get start with materials.
