Hi there
i am currently rendering a animation and about 20 of the 300 frames failed to render.
it is randomly ,say frame 36 renders perfect and then frame 37 failed.
error message i got is = octane.exe has stopped working.
if i close octane it continues with the rendering.
its not a big thing , but overnight rendering wont work.
cheers

If Octane crashes, the problem is likely on the Octane side. If Octane isn't launched the problem is on the plugin side. If Octane launches correctly and renders, but the plugin shows you a message, that Octane could not be launched, the problem is on te plugin side (see
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... =30&t=2941). I'm about to solve the latter problem.
So, what exactly is happening with your scene?
Cheers,
Marcus

thanks for fast replay.
octane is crashing when it compiling Mesh ,i cant reproduce it because it is totally random and most of the frame work.
i am rendering the 2.scene at the moment and so i will see if its a scene related thing.
cheers

Maybe the time between two frames is to short.
When Octanen finished, it require some time to shut down correct.
A pause in the plugin from 3-10 seconds between two frames will solve the problem.

Good point. I will add a delay after the process is gone before I start a new one.
