This will be great!!. The mental ray implementation within revit is terrible

Even Autodesk can't make a decent renderer in Revit... Also, the lack of nice modeling tools and things like import/export options makes it difficult... I think Revit has a loooong way to go and nobody from Autodesk wants to help because it will affect 3dsMax sales.

How do you plan to add plants or people models in Revit? Octane will not render RPC content right?

RPC are just plain billboards? right? well they work fine as long as they can be exported as planes (I don't know about revit, but you can do it from max so I guess in revit should work the same). The only thing is that they won't follow the camera, just setup your camera and export and match the camera to the one in revit. It should look the same, the only problem would be to do another export for each camera setup.

Even if you can export RPCs (which I don't think that happens) they would look ugly... Believe me, when the quality is much better than medium mental ray, you can clearly see the difference...
