How to render a 8K or hier?

Hi Every one!

I`m really glad to use Octane render, and now, i don`t want to use nothing else.
right now i have 2 Gforce Gtx 480 graphic cards on a dual processor motherboard with 3 Monitors
Now it is not possible for me to render a 8K or hi image,( also my equipment shuts Down because of heat on the graphic cards)
i`m afraid to damage my equipment, so i`m thinking on buy new Machine

as i`m going to put a lot of money for me, i want to be sure i will get the result i want for my work
my question is:

what and how many graphic cards do i need to render 8K or higher with 4096 textures maps...
i`m not that worry about time as i use to have 30 hours renders and i know with octane will be much less time
i was thinking on getting 4 Gforce GTX 690 cards with 1 processor, but i`m afraid of the temperature!!!!!!!
i don't know if is better to get 1 GTX for my 3 monitors and tesla or quadro graphic cards for my renders (how to connect them)
or if with 2 GTX 690 are going to be fine, or if i have to use a different card
my main concern is 8K and temperature

i will really appreciate your comments as i`m familiar to software but i don`t Understand a lot of Graphic cards, cores, memory, numbers of cards, ETC...
I just want to Render Hi......

Thanks in advance ....

To render high resolutions, it is good to have enough ram in your GPU.
So a single 2GB GTX580 or 680 is the same as a 590 or 690.
I would prefer a GTX780 which have nearly the same speed as one 590/690 and a lot of more vram.

Thanks Face... the GTX 780 is the Titan?, i has only 2 Digital outputs , so will need 2 of them for my 3 monitors?
what is the difference of having 1,2 or 4 cards?
Thanks Again!

you should keep one of your 480s along the Titan so you have enough display outputs.

As Refracty says you should keep independant CG for displays in this case refresh wouldn't be affected by octane rendering.

Titan seems to be a good choice for huge textures.

Thanks a lot for your comments very useful!

the 480 has 2 DVI out so i still need on CGU for the other monitor, i`m thinking on getting 2 Titans for the new machine and try to
separate the display from the render, or what do you think on putting the 480 and 2 titans?, what benefit will i get to have 2 titans?

thanks again, very happy for the advise!

Hi,

I was try to test rendering 10K before but from max reduce the size rendering to 8K, I think for octane maximum pixel in max only 8K? When I use default rendering (scanline) I can rendering untill 14K.

I used 1 gtx 550ti only for preview in max (output to monitor) and 2 gtx 690 only for rendering

I try in my laptop with GTX 540M it same, with octane only can get resolution only 8K and scanline untill 14K
