Big problem on OSX

Hello,

I have just tested the demo version of octane on both OSX and Seven. (I use OSX by the Efix BPU on a I7 920 with a GTX275 and 6gigs of ram)

In Seven i have the performance that i should expect, but in OSX...the render is damn slow (for example i cannot move the camera)

It's like i have really bad OpenGL performance or something like that.

I really want to work in OSX (i have my 3D modeling programs on it)

are you sure the OSX version is using the GTX275 and not another simpler card in your machine ?
check the device manager panel in octane...

Yes sure at 100%

I really don't understand why the performance can be so irregular. I can launch game by steam like portal, HL2 etc without problems (but with less performance than Seven) but cannot use Octane render correctly.

We know that graphics acceleration on OSX is very odd (performance decrease gradually as the update comes) but it's very frustrating to have such a good system and can't use it.

I have to find a solution for that

maybe wait for 2.3 and try again as it will use the newer cuda 3.1
