I know nvidia ..this is the future for gpu-based rendering.

first I have to say .. omg .. this renderer is awesome ..so fast ..
I tried it at work .. becuse i have a ati-card at home .for now
I just hate when u had to wait .. and wait .. and when u see the ugly result, you wonder how to get those 40 hours back to your life .. and realize u have to change some sliders and parameters ,or move some lights.. and then try again ..to fail once again.. thats what made me put 3d on the shelf many years ago..
Now im trying to catch up on blender again .
.. this renderer seems to have what i always been looking for ..speed, and results(without growing a long beard while waiting)
keep up the good work.
next.. i think it will go like this:
nvidia does everything to make money ..
so .. in their next generation gpu's .. they will seriously cripple cuda for their gaming line of cards..
Cuda functionality will ONLY work for -=gamez=- in gaming cards, and game editors.
they will make ppl pay $10.000 for a quadro(like it used to be with crippled and real open gl) ..
Or it will still be in the gpu in the first generation.. and blocked by some other stuff on the circuit board
..then u have to follow some insane soldering iron tutorials on youtube.. to enable it ..
If only a few 1000 potential buyers from freebee 3dmodel communities hate them ,they wont give a shit.
It wasnt very long ago most 3d-software was useless, flawed and bugridden, unless u had a quadro(or hacked tnt-card), and the quadro drivers.. it can move in that direction again, and probably will.. one way or another.
