Hi,

I'm working on a projekt and the final part of this projekt is visualization. I'm doing it in Direct Light mode because I like speed. Each render in 1600x1200 took me 15min. But as you see I avoid window shoots because I can't make good blinds material like in this reference:

Could someone prepare for me this kind of fake SSS material fo AO mode? BIG PLEASE!!!

Regards

Looking very nice! :geek:
What are your hardware specs?
Have you tested other kernels for this project? If so, how long did that take to get a clean render?

RobSteady. I'm using GTX 580 3GB. I did not try other kernels because from beginning everything was prepared to direct Light. Sometimes I use Pathtrace but it's harder to get equal light in whole scene.

Manos. I'm always putting people directly to render scene because I get nice colors, reflections and a little shadows. It's also important to find the nice people files prepared for rendering.

So no answer to my question? :(

Normally I will use a translucent SSS material for your blinds thing... but the SSS doesn't work with Directlight AO kernel.

I recommend you try it with a very dense of fabric texture putting it in the opacity slot of the blinds material....make it look like they are many and very small holes on the fabric....
