Hi People,

Quick question as there is a cheap desktop workstation available on gumtree near me at the moment and so was just wondering if the GTX 680m would run well with octane? Any advice greatly appreciated! http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/deskt ... ifications

Well, it's a kepler so you get the large VRAM and texture count. I recon it would run about 60% the speed of a full desktop 680 GTX (i don't have benchmarks so i'm going off the stats). But other than the lower speed it would have the same functionality as a full 680 GTX.

For octane you are certainly better off with something like this than a laptop with a quadro.
