I noticed that when some new features are implemented, the release usually just says that they were added. However, it doesnt say what the feature does or how to set it up/use it.
For those of us that haven't used these features in other renderers, could you give us some info about the feature, how to use it, or why we should be using it/when we should be using it.

I see a lot of awesome features coming up and every time there are a lot of questions about how to use them or what they are at release.

As a side note, maybe it's time for OTOY to hire someone on a part time bases to do tutorials for Octane?
I'm sure there are a lot of talented people on these forums who would be willing to do this. (or talk to the folks at CG cookie or other tutorial websites)
These tutorials could also help new Octane users jump right into the program.
(yes, I know there are some tutorials in the forums, but these arnt as polished and I never feel like the person making them fully understands what they are doing. These arnt official tutorials, so obviously the person making them doesn't know everything about the feature, as they probably just did trial and error until they figured out how to use it)

I believe we're going to see more and more stuff as demand will rise: starting from tutorial & finishing with fully setupped scenes =) test & error is the best wa to do something, 'cos when the engine is in such vivid development stage..- I believe majority of bullet proved tuts would fail very soon =)..

speaking from my personal experience hands on is the best way though most time consuming too.
on the other hand I do understand those artists that haven't used any other egnine prior..- It's a hard time for sure, but who said life was easy =) jokes apart - this forum is a great tool, use it =)..
