Hi all
I'm in a situation of needing to either buy another 5 copies of Octane for my shop or wait for the the C4D plugin and just buy 10 copies of that. I guess what I need to know definitively is if I need an Octane license for each seat and the plugin or can I just buy the plugn?
Thanks
Alec

Alec - I'm sure you will get an official answer from Otoy on this, but in the meantime, my understanding is that you need both an Octane Standalone and a C4D plugin license for each seat.

Hi, I sent an email a few days ago and they answered me very quickly:
Here's the Q&A:
"Hi Andrea,
Yes, the cinema 4d plugin will be an additional license, just like the maya and poser one.
So when it is mature enough to be sold as an open, licensed beta then the price will be 99EUR (same as maya and poser).
Thanks
Chris.

Hi,
I suppose that I will have to buy an extra license for the C4D integrated plugin... Am I wrong? Even if I bought the octane standaolne license with c4d plugin... I mean... 1 year ago I understood that the c4d plugin were only a temporary connection bridge, exporter, beacuase there was no other solution at those time ...during a period meanwhile the Refractivesoftware team grow up.
Anyway, how much will cost the new license? 199?? No discount for existing customers?
Thank you in advance.
I'm sorry for my bad english, I hope someone can understand what I say. Bye."
I hope this help you.
