Fish Swarm Animation

Here is a Fish Swarm that I exported from Blender 2.49. Because of the memory problem inherent in Blender, it took 3 days sitting at my computer to get these 800 frames rendered. After exporting, Octane rendered within 15 seconds per frame. Enjoy!

Yeah, I can play this one ;)
That's cool, did you used simple particules or boids ?

It looks very good, but gets pretty fast towards the end, and I think the whole motion of the school, needs to get slowed down some.

i love the motion in this one, but it's quite dark and gloomy,
maybe tune it a bit, the fishes should sparckle ?

this is not a fish pack, this is a bee swarm. Check some video footage of fish moving in groups, they move much slower and they go all in the same direction, like a single being. And when they change direction they do it all at the same time, like a military unit. :P

But really nice work on the particles in blender. GJ :D

This one is simple particles, I am experimenting with a boids sim though.
I realize it gets too fast at the end, but after rendering for days, I didn't have the heart to re-render. Next time, I'll do more test renders...

I agree about it getting too fast at the end, though if you had a big shark or dolphin model come on through about that time, it could be fun.
