480 gtx and 680 gtx not working together

Hi,
i setup a computer with a gtx 480 and a gtx 680 but i can't get them to work together..Octane crashes and plugin too.
Do you know it htey are compatible or due to different architecture they can't work together?

they should be working..
what rig do You use?
maybe You run out of juice (PSU? =)..
hard to tell..

add Your system details & version You're using so others could offer some ideas what could go wrong in Your case =)

Hi thx for the reply.
I installed them on a i7 920.
I have installe dthe lates driver from nvidia (m310)
didn't understand if i have to install the cuda developer drivers as separetly the 2 boards works.
What confuses me is that if i open octane stand alone it says 480 compute model 2 and 680 compute model 3...
What is the difference?

This means Cuda Compute Capability and has different features, but 2.0 is new enough for Octane.
The Quadro 4000 from Glimpse is also Compute model 2.
He meant your power supply is maybe to small to feed both cards.

Hi thanks,
but do you mean that the reason why the ssitem crashes is that when i start using octante the power supply (750w )
is not enough for the 2 boards?
