Hi, it is more an off topic question, did somebody have experience with other gpu accelerated software?
A friend ask for a gtx card for photoshop and premiere. Adobe description is ok, but what the point on daily work.
I am on linux and use only Kdenlive (video editor) and vlc with gpu acceleration and octane of course.

Any help is appreciated.

Is it out of place, move or delete, mib

I've used it with photoshop and a little with premiere, as it is not my editor of choice. With photoshop is helps when working on large, very complex files. I know premiere is working more on VFX using gpu's and even CUDA. A lot of software in the graphics and video editing work are slowly moving towards using the gpu to offload some of the more processor hungry tasks. It all comes down to what you are doing on a daily basis. If you're working on large complex files in photoshop where you have a ton of effects and layer then yes it probably would help. If you're doing a lot of VFX with premiere then also yes. I am also sure at some point we will start seeing the whole video rendering process able to be offloaded to the gpu too.
