these are some tries, that i made for playing with the gold material.
i've already posted them in gold topic, but i think here is a better place
vincent.
add nfo:
modeled: in blender 2.49
rendered: in octane beta2.2b
light: hdr studio from zbyg.
the size is reduced to 33% to original for avoiding fireflies spot, approximatly 3 hours each.
i hope you like it

very nice, good concept and superb texturing, and the gold is really like plated gold

it's a slight pity that there's some aliasing in some areas.
vinz -> do you know about the supersampling technique ?

Thanks for your nice comments, ..i'll try to improve the mesh.
about the supersampling tech , i used it for these renders, but because i didn't have enough memory (the meshes are really heavy) i used in fact a 3X supersampling.
anyway ... thanks
Edit: lol tungee, it's a nice idea she's alone for now

I really like that artful 'decoration' you made.
The first image is great.
Maybe a realistic blue iris instead of gold and a slight skin bump?
..so you are not sure what you are looking as is natures perfection or a machine or..
very nice though - thumbs up

I post first in the gold material thread, but again, very nice.
I am interested in some information about rendertime, polycount etc.
Is this a ram or a vram issue?
