Animating blackbody emmission power in Max

I can change and animate most values for an Octane difuse material, which is great. Unfortunately I can't see how to animate a changing power for a blackbody emission in the emission slot. Does this mean it's not possible to do flickering candles or neon lighting type stuff?

Forget it. Just worked it out. Use a mix material made up of the diffuse material with the emission turned up and a copy of it with the emission turned off. You can animate the mix value of the mix material. sticking a noise modifier on it looks funky.
