network rendering

Hi, as I read that if I want to render something over network and multiple computers, I have to have a full license (original Octane and 3ds max plugin) for every computer.
Is this true? are some slave render plugins planed for future?
Thanks

I was just thinking the same thing. Would LOVE to network render Octane. Are programmers working on this? How long will I have to separate jobs into little parts manually? This is BIG for a studio. I'd be happy to pay for network license. Not a problem.
Thanks
Alec

with 3ds Max and Backburner you can distribute several renders (animation) acrioss a network of workstations with installed gpus.
Octane does not compute cooperative renders (multiple gpus for 1 single image) across a network.
The only commercial software that uses multiple gpus is Vray-rt . You can have 10 nodes with 1 gpu on each pc.
It's not fast but helps.

But this means I have to have Activated licences for every render nod right?...
I tried just to install octane and 3ds max plugin to other computer, to see if it will start in backburner, but nothing... just sits on black render window screen
and btw, I have 3 octane licences, and 1 3ds max to octane, don't know if that would help?
