2 graphic cards and cuda amount

Posted: Wed Jan 09, 2013 11:45 am
Hi, a simple question, I want to put 2 different graphic cards in my computer for octane, I know that amount of ram will be based on weakest card, but if 1 card has for example 400 cuda, and another 500, will the speed of rendering use 900 cuda to render?

Thanks

As far as I am aware yes.

Both cards will do their own renders and these get combined.

thanks for reply! you say their own renders?... you mean both cards will render the same image with their combined speeds? right? 400 + 500 like I mentioned

Yes, steveps3 is spot on.
The scene is loaded to both cards and both start rendering.
Octane combines the results from both cards so the speed is that of both cards combined.

Thanks
Chris.
