hi
An old work created with luxology Modo.
To work in octane some mesh has been remodeled-freezing and triangulated. Rendered in two steps , AO and Direct Lighting. Post in Photoshop (gamma correction)

that's not bad at all for a directlighting render.
have you tried with pathtracing ? maybe it will give a better/more realistic result.

very nice model,
I remember seeing it in the Modo galleries a while ago (my son is a huge fan of the pirates :) )
the background map is flipped BTW...

tungee for export have not tried the new script. i only freezing and triangulated the mesh. I'll try something new.
