I find the new sun model more realistic. But I use a lot AO for speed renders.
Problem is that the new sun model have a very dark (black) color under the horizon (the ground).
So in AO no more light come from the ground and my ceilings are dark.
Could it be possible to have control of the ground color ? ( or luminosity )
