Hello Guys - again i need your help!

If i take a scene, which was previously rendered in max and vray - the octane converter works really good and i have all textures and quite good materials in octane. my question now is - how can i get these converted materials, including all textures and everything in the standalone version? does anybody have a good workflow how to save these materials and apply them in standalone or even better - is there a way to completely bring the scene as it is, to the standalone? for example: save as ocs and just open ocs in the standalone version. is there a way?

Thank you very much -

kind reagrds Chris!

Anybody? Anything? Is there a way to export as obj including all materials?

I have a very, very complex christmas scene. It was once made in Vray and the converter perfectly converted the materials to octane materials including all textures. I need this szene in standalone for the glare effect and cause of the other new features (shadow catcher) and so an.

Does really nobody know how to help me? I have to deliver on wednesday and 24 hours i need for rendering - so i am......deadline :-)

Chris!

There is no way to port 3dsmax scene to standalone. Wait for a new 3dsmax release. It will be soon.

post processing is available since only friday and only in standalone and you have promised it to the customer. That is not smart.
I don't promise anything until it is done.

I did a test on saturday. The customer came in, saw my testing cooking picture while i was on the phone and was blown away by my testpicture. He said: I must have this. But until wednestay for my christmas advertise.

so you see - I did not promise - i had no choise.

I told him that i just do testings right now, but he insited on it. He said he will pay what it costs, but he needs in on wednesday. Don´t tell me you never had sutch customers! A Horror!
And i am, like every other business not a foe to my money. If i had the chance to earn a lot of money - of course i will try to get the job done. It is possible but hard! I am just frustrated cause it could be so easy.....

Well, explain him, that 3dsmax version is not ready yet and you don't know when it will be ready.

Instead of waiting you could just export the scene with the old exporter script and re-do the materials in standalone.

think I know what you need - you need to convert all your materials to 'standard' as only these work with the OBJ exporter from Max (assuming it's Max you're using)

and this MaxScript is excellent for doing that...
