How will multiple GPUs be supported?

Radiance-
Just curious how will multi GPU cards in a single system work? I understand that each GPU must have a copy of the data to be rendered...but will it be possible to split portions of a single image/render between multiple GPU cards? Or will it support a single render job per GPU? Or is it some other method.
I'd like to use a 9600GT as the display card and (2) GTX 280s for rendering only.
Thanks,
Charlie

Hi,
Yeah, you should be able to do that.
the multi-gpu setup will work transparently,
eg you're display denoises 2x as fast.

Thank you! Will the cards need to be in SLI (the two 280s) or not?
Thanks,
Charlie

A related question: When rendering an animation will there be an option to tell Octane to render a single frame per gpu? So if I have 3 boards 3 frames would render in parallel. I can even turn off my monitor while Octane is rendering (to disk?).

yes, we'll provide documentation to do so once these functionalities are completed.

Just to be clear, 2 nVidia 295s will be 4x faster on a single image? Or can be used on 4 different images?

Hi,
this is my first post even if I'm around for a few days.
I just read about NVIDIA's Tesla 2070, a supercomputer disguised as a graphics card.
Is it in your project to make use of this power ?
Thanks for responding
