Hi merid,
I really like your render.
Unfortunately for you (even for me  ) I'm not one of the "lord of the photorealsim" of the Octane community, so my suggestions are lot "limited"....but hope that they will come helpful.
First of all you can adjust the size of the texture of the wooden wall behind the sofa.
Second, you can try to add a little "heavy" hairy carpet.
Third, the pillow looks too much similar and specular, you can deform a little one of them.
Fourth (this is a "third part" suggests), you can try to add some other object into the scene (a plant behind the sofa, some magazines and not only books...and so on).
As for the "speed" the only thing that I found "handy" is to render at higher resolution (x2 or x3) and then downscale (there is a topic about in the forum)....the speed is the same but the render need less samples to become clear (so when you downscale, it comes out nearly perfect).

Nothing else! :D

waiting for some update!

here is the topic which I was referring:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=878

after that you can make some test by yourself and decide to use that trick or not ;)
P.S. In the topicis is suggested to use the Despeckle Filter, but try first to reduce the image to your desired size and see how it becomes out...sometimes you don't need it

Wait for updates! :)

Cheers, Paolo

Hi merid,
here are some links on how to use the despeckle filter:
- using gymp: http://gimp.open-source-solution.org/ma ... eckle.html

- using photoshop: http://www.digitalphotopro.com/techniqu ... lters.html

on internet you can find more.

hi paolo, well, i been try to understand the tutorial like noise and just ' can't see different the image, for me, the only way to do a clear image without noise is more maxsamples in octane, 3000 to 6000
i add image original size 2400 x 1600 px, 8 maxdepth, 3000 maxsamples, pathtracing mode.

Hi merid,
as for most of things...those kind of metods sometimes works better and sometimes not (obviously depend on the scene).
The posted image is only resized? or it has some kind of other post applied to it?, what I can see comparing the two images is:
- the new picture present no fireflyes at all (the illumination is the same or changed?).
- the new picture seems crisper (more visible on the drawings of the pillows, even watching the pictures on the wall).

I see that you're working on the scene, keep goin and it will become really nice ;)

P.S. another little thing that you can try for emproving the quality of your render is to lower the filtersize.

Cheers, Paolo
