Public SDK?

As the support forum seems to be locked I'll post this here.

Will we ever see the Octane SDK for customer or public use?
Or if the current SDK that the plugin devs are getting has features that you don't want for public consumption, is there a chance that we will see a "light" version of the SDK?
I consider some sort of scripting interface or sdk as a very important factor if Octane wants to get on one level with V-Ray, Maxwell and co.

Python scripting support would be really neat.

Yepp, Python scripting would rock.
As they announced Lua scripting, I was a bit surprised.
Why that choice was made is sort of beyond me and I don't really get it(Natural Motion's Morpheme made the same choice).
Why not choose a language that is already deeply integrated in every studio in the world, has a larger user base and hence make your software more sticky?
If you ask any tech artist what cross platform language they would prefer , I am pretty sure that the answer would be in favor of Python.
