Hey guys,

I have Octane for some time now but haven't used it that much yet.
I did this scene to learn Octane, and to see if I can get close to my main render app.
I used to lights for this scene.
One rectangular light with a temperature of 7500K and one spheracle light with a temperature of 4500K.
Let me know what you guys think.

Render info:
PMC
Max depth 8
6000 samples

cheers remon_v

I made another version.
This time I punched some holes in the wall, and used a HDRI to light the scene.
It's a little bit noisy, had to let it cook a little longer :)

C&C's are welcome.

Nice job remon_v

i like the "essential" composition of your scene and like the illumination too.
great carpet!, it's modelled?

The second version looks more or less like the previous but with a sepia filter applied, maybe you should have tryed to make a night or an evening shot.

It seems that the UVmapping of the couch should be adjusted (looks little stretched on the frontal corners).

Cheers, Paolo

Thanks for the reaction guys.
I haven't used a sepia filter, I think it's the HDRI.
I don't think there's any problems with the UV map, but a problem with the texture. I'll check it out.
I like the idea of a night version, so I'm rendering one now :)
Yes the carpet is modelled, well not really modelled. I made a displacement map and backed it.
This one is a quick scene for my portfolio and to get comfortable with Octane, I'll do a better interior next.

I'll post the night version when it's ready.... in like 10 hours or so :|
