I was wondering if there was any news on the cloud rendering service?

some kind of estimated time, or even just how it will work/ how much it will cost?

We are aiming at having a closed beta once Kepler and instancing support are fully mature. Pricing will be announced after the beta is over.

Is there any way to know if my company will be in the closed beta? I have been in contact with Octane/Otoy via email about the cloud service, but didn't really get much of an answer.

Really not trying to be a pest here (promise :) ), but we are trying to decide if we need to purchase more render computers to handle our workload, but if the cloud works as we think it will (and is economical), we would much rather use the service.

Also, beta != trial. The idea is to spot bugs, not to find out if the product will satisfy your needs.
