I haven't used Octane in a good while. So please forgive this question if it was brought up a lot. Searching 3ds max is too common.
Getting back into Octane now that I have a 8 gpu system.
What does the 3ds max plugin do?
Is it possible to render animations from max without the plugin?
Is the plugin the script that was free at one point in time?

Thanks

hi Carl S, it is great to hear you're back. perhaps you are just a bit confused between the integrated plugin and the export script. the official integrated 3dsmax plugin debuted in December 2011, this plugin makes it possible for you to render using the OctaneRender engine from within 3dsmax environment so you won't have to switch between two applications each time. More info can be found here: http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9692

The commercial integrated plugin above is entirely different from the free export script. The free export script remains available, and still free, to licensed customers.

Thanks for the info, that looks really good. Going to buy two licenses.
They really should have that video on the main page I had no idea of the features.
