just a test rendering; if anybody's interested (and doesn't already know it), the polygon data is available free (under cc share alike license) here:
ftp://ftp.dbcls.jp/archive/bodyparts3d/
there are two versions; low-res with about 6mio tris (like in this rendering), and highres about 5 times this size, both versions with around 1500 different .obj files

covering the whole (male) human anatomy.
there is also a web-frontend:

... next step into this needs to be a script to organize all those parts into material groups

could be license a problem to redistribute that in any other than the given form, but i'm currently writing a tool that can be used to combine the various .obj files into a new (single) one, and also creates a .mtl for it, based and a few selections and filters...
