i have some problem with extra small values in material editor. for example i cant set 0,001 or smaller for roughness - only 0.002. but difference betwen 0 and 0.002 is render is very large.
is this limitation of Octane or Max?
it is possible to remove this limitation?

roughness: 0

Check for 3dsmax preferences. There is a parameter for digits count.

:D As I'm writing this im doing a test render of a shot that's about 4 sec long (so 100frms), using 49 movable proxy objects along with some static AND moving objects of focus! the 49 objects comprise of 3 characters, although only one of them is animated talking the other 2 are just Midly animated! rendering with 3.00a on dual 590 (so 4 gpus) i have FAN blowing the gpus to help in cooling, the temps are between 86 72 to 86 degrees!

rendering using DL and AO @ 720p @512samples the PC is taking between 58sec to 1minute to render each frame!!!! all 3 characters have clothing with Clothsim.

according to time estimation its gonna take about 1h and 38 minutes to finish the whole 100frms!

I dont know what else to say except...THANK YOU VERY MUCH OTOY and Especially Karba for such wonderfull support!!!

i will post the animation in te WIP section but i'll let you know here as soon as it finishes rendering!

Nildo
