Is there an additive blending mode for mix materials hiding in there somewhere? I looked around and RTFM but cannot see it. Is it supported?

Tks

There isnt such mode.

I think that adding materials is not a "spectrally correct" way to go, so I'm not sure we will be seeing this in Octane. Though I hope that we will be able to add two textures.

Thanks for the reply.

It can be "correct" as far as I know, you just need to try and ensure you don't overdo it :)

It's the most common way of adding a reflective type coating to a duller surface, and without that the material options are significantly limited IMO. How else can you create complex reflective surfaces? I know the same thing came up in a related thread where you need a frosted type glass that is shiny on the outside. Additive layers is the normal way to achieve that - there isn't really a good workaround in Octane that I can see - or did I miss something?
