I just installed a brand new gtx 670 card - but it doesn't seem to go with octane ? - no image and just the message "gtx 670 (failed)"

Any ideas ?

You probably have a regular build of Octane Render, that is not working at the moment with Kepler based cards.

So actualy what You need is a test build until we ge something final and optimised for new (6xx) cards =) here it is:
