I don't think there is a shortcut for the AEC tools, just for standard splines.
So you could draw the basic shape with splines - holding shift-key to make them straight - and then use the snap-tool to draw your AEC Wall, using the corner points of your spline, on top.
Maybe you can skip the process of drawing splines before and use the snap tool directly.(it's the symbol with that magnet and the numbers 2; 2.5; or 3)
