Hey guys I have a nifty problem. Maybe there is a quick solution.
I have to render 135 apartment views. Small 10sec clips to show the floorplan with furniture as a turntable.
I use Octane for max.

Now I'm looking for a way to automate the rendering process a bit so I don't have to get up every hour and start the new rendering.

Something like: Load prepared .max file, render the frames, Load next .max file, render them, ....and so on...

Any way to do this? Maybe its an easy way but its first time i need to manage such an amount of scenes. :)

I don't know if it's possible with max plugin, but i believe might be with standalone version (launch a file> use .obj > render target > save image) But here You need to render turntable.. - just looked though arguments list ( C:\Octane\octane.exe --help ) - none to render turntable..

Maybe developers will sort something out as this function might be useful for some other users too.

I don't have the plugin, but haven't they made it backburner compatible already?

Thanks, I figured it out.
Backburner for one machine is an option.
I went with this small solution: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scrip ... iple-files

Tested with two files and it worked very nice. I really could close my company without Scriptspot sometimes. So much great things out there. ;)
