Hi,

Not very inspired those times so here is another archviz, will come later on with something else more original, well I hope so.

Edit : As an answer to some of your questions here are some more information
I also add some more closeups exclusively rendered with direct lighting.

Hardware used :

Two GTX580 3GB

Render time :
As always it depends from one image to another but it may varies from 2h to about 5h

Basically I render the images using PMC (with or without protals) as it has a better light convergance for indoor renderings. The image is lit with HDR map.
I tend to render a second image using direct lighting and sun for lighting and I mix them together in postpro. It's very fast, about 10 to 20 min, it is a quick way to add sun over a hdr map and it also help removing some residual noise as direct lighting produces sharp surfaces.

Postprocessing :

To remove residual noise
To combine PMC and direct lighting images
To fix some lighting and contrast and to improve light entering from windows fx
To add CA

I'll try to come later on with some more enhanced information about the workflow.

Exceptional quality as always! I guess its time you did some tutorial DVDs showing your workflow ;)

Very impressed by your wood floors! Are these textures created by you, or are they from some texture collection?

WOW! These are remarkable visuals, regardless of the render engine used ;)

I like the style of the Interior, and that wooden art is lovely! wouldn't mind having such a piece on my wall.
There seems to be too much blurriness in some areas... for example, in the 3rd image, the bookcase could have used some more sharpness... I think.

Would love to know more about the process of making this ;)

Cheers

Ronen

Thanks to all for wiewing and commenting,

I updated the topic with some additional information to answer some of your questions and also added some direct lighting only images.

@bakbek : Now that you point it, indeed the bookcase could have been more sharp ;)

@PeterCGS : I usually use images grabbed over CGTextures.com and stitch them to get a hires texture, then I create the bump and spec maps.

Thanks to all,

@Roubal : Well archviz is not my favorite area and as long as you see archviz from me this means that I'm out of inspiration ;) But I really enjoy doing this one.

@Elvissuperstar007 : Well pointed ! I checked in my scene, the shoes are not so big but considering that the chair is a bit small, all in all indeed, big foot is not so far :?
