Hi there,

i'm wondering if anyone has a link or tutorial to using a HDRI map/environment using Octane Render in 3Ds Max? So far the ones i've seen on youtube and quite a few places use V-Ray and its not exactly what i'm looking for.

Thank you so much for your help

Mark

There's not so much to write a tutorial about. You simply take textured environment node (not the daylight system, but the other one) & and chose it's options it has to upload an HDR - then You play around with things like gamma, intensity, rotation, scale etc. =) try it, it's reqlly that easy..- if You can't get out with that, drop a line here and i'll make You few screen shots =)

Is there a way to make an HDRI -maybe it is not the correct word- aligned to the camera view? I mean change the scale so that it fits to the camera view... In MaxwellRender terms, this is called screen mapped...
